Equality @ West Wittering
Here at West Wittering we value 'All God's children' and as such we value the diversity and uniqueness of each and every one of us, recognising that none of us are alike in every way.

We are a community committed to providing positive learning opportunities for all within a framework of Christian values and practice. We achieve this through providing a broad, rich and engaging curriculum that has our school values of 'enjoy, achieve and aspire' deeply rooted within them.
West Wittering Parochial C. E. Primary School welcomes its general responsibilities under the Disability Equality Duty to have due regard to the need to:
-
promote equality of opportunity between disabled and non-disabled people;
-
eliminate discrimination that is unlawful under the Disability Discrimination Act;
-
eliminate harassment of disabled persons that is related to their impairments;
-
promote positive attitudes towards disabled people;
-
encourage participation by disabled people in public life;
-
take steps to take account of a disabled person's impairments, even where that involves treating the disabled person more favourablythan other people.
Our policy sets out the steps the governing body will take that will result in improved outcomes for disabled pupils, parents/carers and staff in all aspects of school life.
